Reflections on Life’s Peaks: My Journey and Memorables

As I sit here reflecting on my life, I can’t help but wonder about the peaks, those moments when everything feels right. So, I pondered: when was my peak, and during those times, what exactly did I do?

Embracing My Passions

While I am currently focused on my current endeavors, there are instances when I find myself questioning whether to stay on my current path or explore new opportunities. In the present, I am not engrossed in my iPhone 14; yet, inexplicably, a profound sense of emptiness and loneliness lingers within me at night.

Life’s High Points

Throughout my 22 years, I have experienced numerous peaks that have defined my journey. One such peak was when I won an inter-school badminton singles match in eighth grade. It was an exhilarating experience with cheers from the crowd, and the emotions were so overwhelming that I cried from sheer happiness. I can still vividly recall those moments of triumph. This victory was undoubtedly one of my top moments.

Another significant peak was achieving top grades in physics for my board exam. This was particularly surprising as I had consistently scored low in my pre-boards, even receiving as few as 10 marks. This unexpected success was a much-needed boost for my self-confidence.

The final notable peak was clearing the GAT-B exam with an AIR of 138. This was vital as my life’s graph had been in decline over the last four years, and this success was necessary to regain my self-confidence and momentum.

Memorable Years

Reflecting on the best years of my life, I believe they were during 2010, 2012, and 2014. In 2010, I had the opportunity to visit Seattle, WA, where I experienced the thrill of beating a cherished game, "Harry Potter: The Sorcerer’s/Philosopher’s Stone" on PC for the first time. On Halloween, I dressed as Indiana Jones, and we rented a big house for Thanksgiving weekend, spending it binge-playing video games. We even took the Polar Express ride and viewed the Christmas lights at the Oregon Zoo. Although not exclusive to that year, these experiences provided a lasting memory.

In 2012, I completed "Riven: The Sequel to MYST," a game that had captivated me since I was about 4 years old and 12 years later, I finally finished it. Whenever it is a rainy fall day or a sunny winter day, I am reminded of 2012 and that achievement. This game still holds a special place in my heart.

During 2013 and 2014, I had a significant crush on a girl who was in the same 8th grade class. While we weren’t completely strangers, there was a special bond between us. Since then, we have grown further apart, which has been a heartbreak to face.

Conclusion and Future Planning

These peaks have shaped my life in various ways, and while the road ahead is uncertain, I am committed to exploring more opportunities. I am not trapped in past achievements; instead, I am focused on future endeavors that will bring joy and fulfillment.

For those seeking inspiration or guidance, these reflections may offer a glimpse into the importance of recognizing and celebrating life’s peaks, both big and small. Embrace your journey, and never forget the magic of these moments.
