Dreaming of Romantic Interests: From Fictional Characters to MCU

The Captivating Romance of Fictional Characters

Many of us have dreamed of dating a fictional character at one point or another. Whether it's a classic princess, a strong-willed warrior, or a cunning deity, these characters captivate us with their unique attributes and stories. In this article, I will explore three of my favorite fictional characters and why I would choose to date them: Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail, and Loki Laufeyson from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Princess Zelda: The Curious and Kindhearted

For many, Princess Zelda from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom is the ideal romantic interest. Her curious and inquisitive nature, combined with her kindness and dedication to her people, makes her an incredible character. Her charm is undeniable, and I find myself warming up to her, dreaming of a world where I can meet someone like her. While it's unlikely to find someone with all these qualities in our real lives, a man can always dream, right?

Medusa: A Different Kind of Love

For those not bothered by the age-old problem of erectile dysfunction, Medusa from Greek mythology is the perfect choice. A stone that transforms a man into stone seems like a welcome improvement given the condition many suffer from. However, since not everyone shares this preference, it's a decision best left to personal choice.

Erza Scarlet: A Relatable and Respected Companion

When it comes to fictional characters I admire the most, Erza Scarlet from Fairy Tail stands out. She shares many qualities that resonate with me, such as being a strong, compassionate, and upright person. We both share a determination to do what we believe is right, and our shared interests in strawberry cakes and swords add a lighthearted touch to our serious bond. My second choice is Elsie Crimson from Eden's Zero, another admirable and compassionate character. I feel sad for her situation and wish for her to continue an honorable and happy life with the other characters in the series.

Loki Laufeyson: A Complex and Punished Deity

For a more complex relationship, my choice falls on Loki Laufeyson from the Movies TV section of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Our first meeting would be after Loki discovers his true parentage. When he tries to take over Earth, my love would stand up to him and be a beacon of hope. Standing by Loki's side, we would challenge Odin's wisdom and ensure Loki's redemption. Once we discover that Loki didn't die in the battle against the Dark Elves, we would embark on a journey to make things right. After earning my forgiveness, we would get married on Asgard, and together become the King and Queen of Jotunheim.

It's unfortunate that the MCU writers didn't give Loki a love interest in the form of someone like myself. I believe this could have added depth to his character arc and provided a satisfying narrative for both fans and critics.

These fictional characters offer us a glimpse into the possibilities that books, games, and movies can provide. While they may not exist in our world, they inspire us and give us a chance to explore different relationships and emotions. Whether it's a strong warrior, a cunning deity, or a compassionate princess, these characters remind us of the beauty and depth of the relationships we build and dream of.
